Discord

Smoketest can post run notifications directly into Discord using the Smoketest Discord app. Install the app from Dashboard → Integrations, choose a Discord server during authorization, then select the text channel that should receive notifications.

What Discord sends

Discord receives the same non-on-demand run notifications that email sends, filtered by the project's notification filter:

Run results for scheduled, API-triggered, GitHub-triggered, and deployment webhook-triggered runs
A recovered message when a test passes again after failing
An additional alert after 2 consecutive failed or errored runs

On-demand runs do not send Discord notifications.

Notification filters

Each project chooses what its connected channels are notified about. The filter is set per channel (email, Slack, Discord) on the Integrations page and applies to non-on-demand runs only:

All runs — every run result (passing, failing, or recovering).
Failures & recovery — only failures and worker errors, plus a heads-up when the test recovers (a passing run that follows a failure). Steady-state passes stay quiet.

The consecutive-failure alert fires under both filters.

Connect Discord

Open Dashboard → Integrations in Smoketest.
Under Discord, click Install Discord app.
In Discord, review the requested permissions and choose the server that should host the app.
After Discord redirects back to Smoketest, choose the destination channel and save it.
Confirm the integration shows as connected and enabled.

Change the channel or disconnect

Click Choose another channel to keep the app installed and route notifications to a different channel in the same server.
Re-run Install Discord app if you need to connect a different server.
Click Disconnect to stop posting to Discord and remove the stored server/channel mapping for that project.

What is planned next

The Discord app is installed with command capability already enabled so Smoketest can add Discord-triggered actions later without forcing a reinstall.
